Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Halifax, Light House Arts Centre is the city’s newest and biggest cultural hub and performance space. With a focus on the creative needs of our community, Light House is home to a number of flexible and unique performance, event and work spaces.
At Light House, our spaces can accommodate a wide variety of performing arts disciplines, such as dance presentations, competitions, classes and rehearsals; live and hybrid music concerts and song circles; film and television shoots and screenings; theatrical and comedy performances, and so much more. Our versatile spaces can also be used as meeting rooms or workshop spaces for non-profit organizations and corporate clients.

At the heart of the Media Production Centre is the brand new Media Production Studio, surrounded by almost 20,000 sq ft of support space. This fully equipped black-box studio provides turn-key technical and support spaces to facilitate content creation for any media platform.

The Performance Hall is a large live multidisciplinary event space. Equipped with a full concert-style PA and lights package, the Performance Hall can accommodate large concerts or seated song circles, dance performances and competitions, comedy and theatrical performances, meeting and conference components, corporate and special events, and more.

Multiple FLEX studios and spaces are located within the Light House facility to accommodate a wide variety of uses. These spaces can be used for workshops, rehearsals, creation, photo shoots, meetings, and small events, shows, and presentations.
