Accessibility

Here at Light House Arts Centre we are dedicated to having an accessible space for all.

We have a number of accessible features that are listed below.

  • Wheelchair ramp leading up to our doors at 1800 Argyle. The automatic doors are on the left side of the entrance doors with buttons.

  • Our space is all on one level once inside.

  • Accessible bathroom stalls, each with a railing support and roll under sinks.

  • For GA standing events, we have a platform with a wheelchair lift to ensure patrons that need accessible seating have great sight-lines to the stage. There is room for 4 accessible seats on this platform, each seat has space for one guest. The guest is required to buy a GA ticket. Your ordered drinks are brought out to you.

    • Please note: if you are booking tickets with Sonic Concerts, please reach out to them directly to reserve at info@sonicconcerts.com

    • Try to purchase accessible tickets through the event ticketing page first, and if you cannot, i.e. not an option to purchase accessible seating on the ticketing page, please reach out to the promotor directly.

  • If you have purchased Accessible tickets, let the door staff know and they will guide you to the platform or reserved seats.

  • Event staff and ushers will be onsite to provide help and assistance.

    • Please Note: as of June 17th, 2024, Halifax is undergoing major bus rerouting given the partial closure of Barrington St. for 6 months. When planning your trip, reach out to transit in advance if you are unsure about specifics regarding your route/stop. Updates on these changes can be found here: June 17th Bus Route/stop Changes
