Event Operations Manager
The Event Operations Manager will assist in diverse tasks involving event program deliverables. The role will entail a variety of responsibilities from vendor sourcing and management, scheduling and managing technicians, developing relationships with clients, and onsite event support. They will be responsible for providing high quality service based on requirements and standards. Provide clear and concise communications to everyone and have ownership in the success of the event, identifying training opportunities and planning strategies to accomplish goals.
Hours: Full Time (daytime with some evenings and weekends)
Role Responsibilities:

Collaborate with event organizers to manage event delivery
-
Organizing and managing production and technical staff for events
-
Develop final accommodation plans for participants
-
Develop final event logistics plans to support the event
-
Develop final transportation and parking plans for events
-
Ensure events follow local security, Workplace Safety and Health regulations
-
Lead negotiation with vendors to secure service contracts within the event budget
-
Manage escalated on-site issues
-
Manage execution of event logistics plans to support project plans
-
Manage takeover and handover of venue
-
Resolve escalated participants’ enquiries regarding the events
-
Review incident summary reports to determine areas of improvement for event safety and security
-
Recrute, train and supervise staff
-
Manage event staff and technicians
-
Review vendors’ project deliverables to ensure quality standards.

Supervise departmental inventories and maintains equipment.
-
Assists team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth
Verifying and Providing Exceptional Customer Service

Set a positive example for guest relations.

Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.

Encourage employees to provide excellent customer service.

Verify employees’ understanding of expectations and parameters.

Strive to improve service performance.

Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.
Conducting Human Resources Activities

Communicates and executes departmental and property emergency procedures and verifies staff are trained in safety procedures.

Monitors progress and leads discussion with staff each period.

Participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.

Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings.
-
Conducts associate performance appraisals and provides feedback as needed.
-
Observes service behaviors of associates and provides feedback to individuals.

Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
Education & Experience:
-
High School Diploma
-
Completion of post-secondary education
-
At least 5 years of experience in the field is an asset
-
Recognized industry certification an asset
-
Experience in technical production

Cleaning Staff
We are now inviting applications for in house cleaning staff:

Hourly Wage: $18/ Hour
Hours:

Full Time (Daytime)

Part Time & Casual (Evenings and Weekends)
Role Responsibilities:
The Cleaning Staff are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the common areas of the building, tenant offices, washrooms, performance hall and lobby.

Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming of assigned areas
-
Stocking washrooms
-
Emptying garbage and recycling
-
Monitoring cleaning supply (replenish, restock all cleaning supplies when required)
-
Ability for overtime
-
Required to work backshift and extended shifts of 10-12 hours.
Required Skills:
-
Reaching, bending, kneeling and twisting on a regular basis while performing various tasks.

Ability to lift and carry approximately 50lbs.
-
Must be able to perform outlined tasks without supervision

Must be self motivated
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Excellent time management

Have a great attitude and a willingness to work in a fast paced and exciting industry.

Experience:

2 years of cleaning experience preferred.

First aid training an asset

Building Superintendent
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Role Responsibilities:

Performing maintenance and repairs to building, common area and vacant/tenant units
-
Performing ongoing building maintenance and cleaning
-
Responding to tenant concerns
-
Assisting the Property Manager in collecting rent, staffing the on-site office, and communicating with tenants
-
Managing, hiring, training and scheduling cleaning staff
-
Managing, hiring, training and scheduling space supervisors
-
Keeping inventory of cleaning supplies and putting in orders as needed
-
Getting keys cut and managing locks
-
Assisting with building beautification
-
Maintain waste/recycling system for tenants
-
Work with tenants and bookings to troubleshoot and improve electrical-related issues, like circuits flipping from overload, etc.
-
Dealing with emergency calls onsite
-
Interface with our internet tech for logistics around server, wifi, problem solving
Experience:
-
Strong maintenance skills including, but not limited to: light plumbing, painting, cleaning, general repairs and maintenance.

Previous experience in commercial property management is an asset

Strong communication and organizational skills
