THE ULTIMATE LIVE KITCHEN PARTY CONTEST!
Win a chance to perform LIVE ON STAGE at the BRAND NEW Light House Arts Centre in downtown Halifax! This summer, we will be hosting 4 LIVE Ultimate Nova Scotia Kitchen Parties! These events will be open to in-person attendance, and will also be livestreamed each month in the Ultimate Online Kitchen Party facebook group. Each selected performer will receive a $300 honorarium!
20 PERFORMANCE SLOTS AVAILABLE TO BE WON!
These 4 monthly soirées will be open to the public to attend. Come meet these inspiring musicians, and each other, in person! Hear their stories of isolation, community resilience and connection during the Covid-19 pandemic. There will be drinks, a red carpet, a photo booth, and plenty of entertainment! Each evening will start off with a set from 5 contest winners, followed by a set by one of Halifax’s most popular party bands! The events will also be livestreamed on Facebook!
Winners must be available to perform in Halifax on one of the following Show Dates:
- Thurs, June 23
- Thurs, July 21
- Thurs, Aug 18
- Thurs, Sept 15
All selected performers will receive a video of their live performance at Light House!
Video Shoot! Have a 45-minute performance video filmed in our fully equipped Media Production Studio!
Contest Runs From

Post a BRAND NEW video of your DIY live musical performance on the Kitchen Party facebook group or on your own facebook page.
Be sure to tag your post with the #lighthousekitchenparty hashtag (This is the ONLY way we can identify contestants, so don’t forget to tag!)
The posted video can be of a cover song or an original song. Selected winners will be asked to sing 3-5 songs, of their choosing, at the live show.
Applicants are welcome to sing to a backing track (without recorded vocals), but are encouraged to perform with live accompaniment. Performers absolutely DO NOT have to be professional artists or musicians. All selected artists will be asked to provide a photo and a brief bio.

Genre: From country and folk to hip hop and everything in between!
2. Talent
Show us your chops! Applicants DO NOT have to be professional artists, and videos do not have to be professional quality. That said – do your best!

Likes, shares and comments on your posted video will all add weight to scores!
